What you’ll learn
- Understand an ECU board: the 5 V supply, processor, memory, inputs and outputs
- Power a unit on the bench and build a permanent test bench — even without a wiring diagram
- Find the cause when a unit won’t communicate
- Test output stages and board components and choose replacements
- Solder SMD parts and restore a board after moisture and corrosion
- Back up the memory before any repair and test the unit before handing it back

What’s inside an ECU
What sections make up a control module’s circuit board — the power supply and 5 V regulator, the processor and crystal, memory, input circuits, output stages, bus transceivers — and how they connect to the connector.
8 min · 4 questionsfreeWorkbench and safety
What you need to repair modules on the bench — antistatic protection, a bench power supply with current limiting, a soldering station, a hot-air station, magnification and cleaning — what you must never do, and how to remove and install a module on the car.
8 min · 4 questionsfreeConnecting a module on the bench
How to power a module on the bench: +30, +15, all grounds, the main relay and output power, the diagnostic line to the adapter, 12 and 24 V — and how to tell from the current whether the module has woken up.
9 min · 4 questionsfreeA DIY test bench for modules
What a permanent module test bench is built from — a power supply with current limiting, a fuse, “+30” and “+15” switches, a main relay, adapter harnesses and a jack panel, loads, a diagnostic line, a crankshaft simulator and an oscilloscope — and how to check the bench before the first module.
9 min · 4 questionsfreeA module that won’t communicate
The order of checks when the scan tool can’t see a module: power and grounds at the connector, current draw, the 5 V regulator, the crystal, the CAN transceiver, traces and vias, signs of moisture — and how to tell a module fault from a fault in the car’s wiring.
9 min · 4 questionsfreeOutput stages: why they burn out and how to test them
Why injector, coil, relay and motor drivers burn out, how to test a module output with a load simulator and an oscilloscope, and why the cause in the car’s wiring has to be fixed first.

Board components: how to test them and what to replace them with
How to identify an SMD part by its marking and package, what to look for in a datasheet and how to choose an equivalent, how to test diodes, transistors, capacitors, the regulator and the crystal, and how the comparison method with a good module finds the faulty circuit.
10 min · 4 questionsfull courseConnecting a module on the bench without a diagram
How to find the grounds, power feeds, +15, main relay control and the diagnostic line from the board and a multimeter when there’s no pinout, power such a module up safely for the first time and record what you found for the future.
10 min · 4 questionsfull courseMoisture, corrosion and vibration
How water gets into a module, how to clean and dry the board, restore eaten-away traces, find solder cracks caused by vibration and protect the board with conformal coating after the repair.
9 min · 4 questionsfull courseSoldering and replacing components
How to recognize SMD parts and chip packages, choose the flux and temperature, remove and install a part with a hot-air station and a soldering iron without overheating the board and neighboring parts, and why BGA is a separate story.
9 min · 4 questionsfull courseModule memory and backups
What’s stored in flash and EEPROM, why a full backup is made before any repair, how memory is read, why checksums need checking, and which memory jobs we refuse to do.
9 min · 4 questionsfull courseA burnt-out driver: building a replacement from transistors
How a multi-channel driver is built, when a burnt-out channel can be replaced with a MOSFET circuit and when it can’t, and how to build, fit and test such a channel.
10 min · 4 questionsfull courseReplacing a module with another one
When a module gets replaced, how new, remanufactured and used units differ, what has to match, what needs to be transferred and adapted, and why “just putting in a used module” often doesn’t work.
8 min · 4 questionsfull courseTruck and heavy equipment modules
What matters in truck and heavy equipment modules: the 24 V system, common causes of failure — welding, overvoltage, reverse polarity, washing, vibration, dust and frost — what types of modules there are, what we don’t touch, and how to set up a bench for 24 V.
10 min · 4 questionsfull courseCommon faults in popular ECUs
A “symptom → board section → how to check” map for car and truck engine modules, based on general rules, open data sheets and cases from Oleg’s blog.
10 min · 4 questionsfull courseNot just the engine: ABS, BCM, automatic transmission, instrument cluster — hardware repair
How the ABS module, body control module, automatic transmission module and instrument cluster are built and what most often fails in them, what gets repaired on the board, what to do after the repair, and which jobs we don’t take on.
9 min · 4 questionsfull courseTesting after repair and handing over to the customer
How to test a module on the bench and in the car, give it an extended run, put together a report with photos of the board, agree on the warranty, and what to record for yourself.
8 min · 4 questionsfull courseOne repair start to finish: a module from intake to handover
The DAF 106 2018 ECU repair from Oleg’s blog, stage by stage — intake, vehicle, bench, board, reballing, testing and handover; where the article skips a stage, usual practice is given, kept apart from the case facts.

Questions
How much does the course cost?
Lessons 1–5 are free. Lessons 6–18 unlock after a one-time payment of 29 990 ₸, with lifetime access. Launch price: 14 990 ₸ for the first 20 buyers.
Do I need experience?
The course is for people who already know auto electrics basics: measuring with a multimeter and reading diagrams. If you’re starting from scratch, take the “For future auto electricians” course first.
How do I pay?
Message Oleg on WhatsApp — he will send you the Kaspi number. After payment Oleg sends an access code: enter it in the app at lesson 6. One code works on three phones. Payment is official, via a sole proprietorship; companies can pay by invoice.
Do I get a certificate?
Yes. After payment the app unlocks a final test: 20 questions covering all lessons, and you need at least 16 correct answers for the certificate. The certificate of completion can be verified by its number. It is not a state-recognised diploma: this is a self-study course.
Does it work offline?
Yes: in the Android app, lessons open without the internet. You need a connection once, to enter the access code.
Does it work on iPhone?
Yes: open help.avtoelektrik-pro.kz in Safari and add the icon to your Home Screen. There is an app for Android.
