A fault code doesn’t yet mean the unit or sensor itself is faulty: often it’s the plug and connector leading to it.
Possible causes
- A brake fluid leak: hose, pipe, caliper or cylinder
- Low brake fluid level
- Air in the brake system after a repair
- The pressure sensor or ABS unit reads wrongly (less often)
What you can do yourself
- Stop in a safe place and don’t drive any further: the unit has detected a brake leak, so the brakes may fail.
- Check the brake fluid level in the reservoir and look for fluid traces at the wheels and under the car.
- Call a tow truck: you must not drive with a brake leak, even if the pedal feels normal.
The explanation comes from the error code reference in the AvtoElektrik PRO app.
