Dashboard warning light

The “Particulate filter (DPF)” light on the dashboard

Yellow lightDon’t put off the repair

The filter is clogged with soot and needs cleaning — a regeneration.

Particulate filter (DPF)Yellow light · Don’t put off the repair

Tap the light to turn it on or off, just like on the dashboard.

What you can do yourself

  1. If you can, drive 15–20 minutes on the highway at a steady speed — the filter often regenerates by itself.
  2. If that doesn’t help or power drops, a forced regeneration with a scanner is needed.

Stop and don’t drive on if:

  • The Check Engine light is flashing
  • The temperature gauge is in the red or the overheating light is on
  • The red oil pressure light is on
  • Smoke from under the bonnet, a burning or petrol smell
  • Strong jerking, knocking from the engine, or the car barely moves

The description comes from the AvtoElektrik PRO app.

Oleg’s tip: the colour of the symbol tells you how urgent it is

For example: a red oil pressure or overheating light — stop straight away and switch the engine off. A yellow Check Engine light with the engine running smoothly — drive on and get a diagnosis.
