P0590 — Cruise Control Multi-Function Input "B" Circuit Stuck

Safe to drive

A fault code doesn’t yet mean the unit or sensor itself is faulty: often it’s the plug and connector leading to it.

Possible causes

What you can do yourself

  1. Press the cruise buttons a few times: one may be sticking. If other steering wheel buttons don’t work either or the airbag light is on, it’s probably the clock spring; it is replaced at a service centre.
  2. Cruise control may not engage. Driving without cruise is not affected.
  3. Even if cruise engages, don’t use it until it is repaired.

The explanation comes from the error code reference in the AvtoElektrik PRO app.
